Grant Collier, Infinity Ward studio hoofdman, heeft veel hoop voor een succesvolle game die eind dit jaar zal gaan verschijnen. De ontwikkelaar komt dan namelijk met Call of Duty 4 op de proppen. De game zal voor de Xbox 360 en PlayStation 3 hoge noten gaan slaan, zo belooft Collier. Hij ziet de shooter dan ook vooral als een concurrent voor Halo 3 voor de Xbox 360. “De laatste tijd hoor je veel van Halo 3 als de aankomende beste game voor het platform. Crysis verovert verder het PC-platform, maar op de PlayStation 3 zullen wij binnenkort de nummer 1 zijn.”
“Some people say ‘Oh gosh, there’s this big competition out there and so we should move our ship date because we’re feeling uncomfortable’. We love competition. I think for the 360 it’s pretty much Halo 3 that’s the competition so we’re going after who we think are at the top of the game right now and we want to take those guys on. On PC I guess I’m hearing a lot about Crysis right now. Those guys kind of came right out from nowhere. There’s lots of buzz around that game. On PS3 we’re number one.
