Sony heeft een nieuw patent vastgelegd voor een back button attachment voor de PlayStation 5 DualSense-controller. Wat het patent exact inhoudt is nog niet bekend maar de omschrijving vinden we beneden. Voor de PS4 was het attachment ook al beschikbaar, wellicht in een zelfde vorm als voor de PS5 komt. Daarvoor was het een extra toevoeging voor de controller voor mensen met kleinere handen. Het is daarnaast vooral een attachment voor mensen met een handicap.
A controller add-on includes a housing that mechanically couples to a game controller body. A conformable surface of the housing is configured to conform with a bottom of the body of the game controller. A plurality of buttons coupled to the housing are located opposite the conformable surface. A controller interface coupled to the housing is configured to communicatively couple to the plurality of buttons to the game controller.
