Sony Computer Entertainment Europe (SCEE) heeft aangekondigd dat zij het PlayStation 3 value starterspakket naar Europa zullen brengen voor een prijs van 599 Euro’s. In het pakket zit de PlayStation 3 60 gig editie met daarbij 2 first party titels en 2 Sixaxis controllers. Het pakket zou vanaf 1 augustus aanstaande verkrijgbaar moeten zijn en representeerd volgens Sony een zeer waardevolle vernieuwing die het geld meer dan waard zal zijn. De 2 games die in de doos bijgesloten zijn betreffen MotorStorm en Resistance: Fall of Man. Het zijn volgens Sony de meest succesvolle first party titels tot dusver, wat op zich gezien de verkoopaantallen niet al te gek is.
