De website die onlangs de geruchten naar boven bracht rondom de motion sensing controller voor de Xbox 360 heeft inmiddels bekend gemaakt dat de gelanceerde images die deze mogelijkheden al in beeld brachten niet echt zijn. Het gaat hierbij om oude Wii prototypes uit 2001 die gebruikt zijn bij het maken van de Nintendo WiiMote motion controller. Het enige wat Microsoft zou hebben gedaan is het contact zoeken met Gyrations, die werken aan het project voor Microsoft. Dat het concern dus werkt aan een Xbox 360 motion controller is volgens Xboxfamily wel daadwerkelijk het geval. Microsoft zelf heeft dit nog niet bevestigd. De fake images kun je beneden zien.
Below are images of the original motion-sensing prototypes that Gyration had designed for the Wii in 2001. For some reason, misinformed people are posting these images as the “new controller”. Considering Gyrations is rumored to be working on an add-on, not a controller, that should be people’s first clue. Also considering the images have been around for six years, well that should be another clue. All we know about the motion-sensing project is that Microsoft and Gyrations are wotking on the project.
