De nieuwe systeemupdate voor de Xbox One wordt uitgerold op de Xbox One en Xbox app. Het gaat om diverse nieuwe features die we kunnen vinden waaronder een verbeterde wireless controller thumbstick precision voor de hardware. Verder is er ook party chat toegevoegd in Twitch broadcasts. Op 1 maart werden er al diverse aankondigingen gedaan, waaronder de toevoeging van 16-persoons party chat features, Xbox 360 achivements in Xbox One en Xbox app activity feeds, de mogelijkheid om weblinks en YouTube video’s van Game Hubs te volgen en nog meer mogelijkheden.
Xbox Elite Wireless Controller improved thumbstick precision with firmware update
Based on feedback, Microsoft has created a new method to calculate the position of the controller’s thumbsticks consistently, enabling thumbstick response more in line with what players expect. With the latest firmware update, users can expect increased accuracy of the thumbsticks on the Xbox Elite Wireless Controller for even greater control.
Xbox Accessories app
The Xbox Accessories app on Windows 10 now includes a page displaying the current firmware version, battery status, and other details about the controller. This detailed information about the controller is already available on the app on Xbox One.
Include Party Chat in Twitch broadcasts
A top voted-for feature on Xbox Feedback and released in Preview, allows users to broadcast Party Chat when using the Twitch app. Users can invite other people to include their chat audio in the broadcast by enabling “Broadcast party chat” in the Twitch app settings. If a member of the party declines, they’ll still be able to chat in the party but not heard in the broadcast. Party leaders can also mute chat member’s audio, even if opted-in.
