Deze lente verschijnen tal van nieuwe titels voor de Nintendo DS en Wii. Op de releaselijst staan zowel bekende namen als geheel nieuwe titels die de aandacht trekken. Zo valt er de komende maanden voor elke speler weer heel wat te genieten.
Op 25 april vindt de lancering plaats van het baanbrekende Wii Fit plaats, gebundeld met het geavanceerde Wii Balance Board. Dit pakket voegt een heel nieuwe dimensie toe aan de Wii. Met Wii Fit komt het hele gezin in beweging om aan hun conditie te werken, zonder daarvoor de deur uit te hoeven. Publieksfavoriet Mario laat binnenkort ook weer van zich horen. Dit keer niet alleen in combinatie met talloze helden uit Nintendo’s eigen geschiedenis, maar ook met populaire spelfiguren van andere ontwikkelaars. We hebben het dan natuurlijk over het langverwachte vechtspel Super Smash Bros. Brawl!
In mei worden twee spannende nieuwe elementen aan de Wii toegevoegd. WiiWare is een nieuw onderdeel van het Wii-winkelkanaal waarmee geheel nieuwe titels van Nintendo en andere ontwikkelaars direct naar de Wii gedownload kunnen worden, tegen een betaling vanaf 500 Wii-punten. Eind mei verschijnt dan ook nog eens het Nintendo-kanaal, met de nieuwste informatie over verleden, heden en toekomst van alle Nintendo-producten.
Voor de Nintendo DS verschijnt een nieuwe hulp in de keuken met het Europese debuut van Cooking Guide: Can’t Decide What to Eat?. Dit interactieve kookprogramma biedt toegang tot talloze recepten uit de hele wereld. Met de stap-voor-stap instructies, inclusief foto’s en filmpjes, kan iedereen de heerlijkste gerechten bereiden. Met deze titel wordt koken leuker – en lekkerder – dan ooit!
Ace Attorney: Apollo Justice brengt een nieuwe held naar de rechtbank. In dit avonturenspel neemt de speler de rol aan van de advocaat Apollo Justice, om te speuren naar aanwijzingen en de spannendste zaken op te lossen.
Pokémon-fans zullen zich vol enthousiasme kunnen verdiepen in de mysterieuze kerkers van Pokémon Mystery Dungeon: Explorers of Time en Pokémon Mystery Dungeon: Explorers of Darkness voor de Nintendo DS. In beide versies van dit spel verandert de speler in een Pokémon, om samen met een partner-Pokémon de meest fantastische avonturen te beleven.
