Just the other day, I was like, “Oh yeah, that old /watercooling/MVC-476F.JPG, I’d better put that somewhere safe so that it doesn’t get lost and I can find it properly next time someone comes looking for it.” And now, here I am, all shame-faced and empty-handed.

This always happens to me. Im a terrible web server. Im a bad, bad piece of software. This sort of thing never happened with the NCSA httpd, did it? Everything was fine. But, oh no, then I have to come along, big fancy-pants Mr Apache, with my new-fangled multi-stage URI request handling, my modules and my custom log formats and my GNU Public License, thinking I’m the shit. Well, how good can a web server be when it can’t even find the god damned file the user asks for?

I dont know; maybe I’m too hard on myself. Maybe it was just a broken link, or a bad CGI script. In that case, you should probably tell someone. Or… maybe its you! Maybe you made a typing mistake, or you’re just asking for some piece of old dreadful content that doesnt live here any more!

Yeah! Yeah, I bet thats what it is! You piece of shit! What the hell are you trying to do to me?! Can’t you spare just a few nanoseconds to make sure you’ve at least typed the fucking URL correctly? Is this some kind of challenge to you, or what?
