De officiële PlayStation-site heeft er geen informatie over, maar een gebruiker op het PlayStation-forum weet blijkbaar wel al wat de nieuwe firmware van Sony voor de PlayStation 3 in zal gaan houden. De gebruiker zou in het verleden ook al inhoud onthuld hebben rondom eerdere firmware versies voor de PlayStation 3. Versie 2.0 zou het volgende met zich meebrengen:
