Corporate Vice President & CFO Home & Entertainment van Microsoft, Bryan Lee, heeft gezegd dat de Xbox 360 een grotere krachtpatser is dan de PlayStation 3 van concurrent Sony. Op de 33e UBS Global Media conferentie zou hij dit beweerd hebben. Waar hij dit precies op baseert is niet duidelijk maar hij zegt dat de balans toch aardig gelijk is. ‘Sony is ons de baas wat betreft sommige aspecten en andersom is dit ook het geval’. Hij noemt beide consoles wat betreft hardware erg krachtig en vergelijkt de Xbox 360 en PS3 dan ook met 2 ferrari’s. Toch zegt hij dat de meeste mensen zullen kiezen voor de Xbox 360, mede door de uitblinkende eigenschappen die de console toch iets krachtiger maken dan diens concurrent (PS3). Uiteraard benoemd hij deze eigenschappen helaas niet.

On balance I think most people who study the space will tell you our system is slightly more powerful then theirs from a hardware standpoint. But for the purposes of this discussion I think it’s fair to say they’re both Ferraris”
