Microsoft heeft gereageerd op de firmware hack die van het weekend gerealiseerd werd door een Nederlands team. Het concern zegt niet al te veel indrukwekkends, uiteraard blijft men dan ook steunen op diens huidige beveiliging. Er wordt onder andere vertelt dat het core security systeem niet gehackt is. Microsoft laat echter wel weten het betreurend is dat de hack plaatsgevonden heeft en geeft dan ook de winst aan de hacker, in iets andere woorden. Uiteraard wordt benadrukt dat men geen support zal gaan geven aan gemodificeerde systemen die werken met de hack en dus illegale media af zal spelen.
