Er gaan op dit moment vele geruchten rondom de eventuele stroomvoorziening die in de stand van de Nintendo Wii aanwezig zou zijn. Nintendo wist dit echter te ontkennen waarna de mannen van Nintendo Power het tegendeel wisten te bewijzen. Het is dan ook nog niet geheel duidelijk zo lijkt het. Sule heeft vandaag weer wat meer info rondom deze aanwezigheid weten te vinden:
Matt responds: The stand / power supply rumor has been denied on multiple occasions and beside, there is a standard physical power plug that extends from the back of the console and it’s nowhere near the stand. The chances of the stand being anything but are, I think, pretty slim. But you’re definitely right in that Kaplan did confirm there are more secrets on the way. If I had to venture a guess as to what they might be, I’d have to go with a built-in Wii-mote microphone. That seems to be the no-brainer and I’d be shocked if the feature wasn’t included in the final hardware. But on top of that, I find the fact that Nintendo always goes out of its way to keep the Wii’s front flap (which supposedly houses nothing but SD card bays) closed to be a little conspicuous. If it’s hiding another major feature, maybe that mystery spot is somehow related. I saw some photos of this area leaked during E3, but they revealed next to nothing and the hardware cases at the exhibition may not have been representative of the final units, anyway.
